A whisky fit for a King, this expression honours the annual pilgrimage made by King James IV to the shrine of St Duthac in Tain and is part of Glenmorangie Legends – a collection of single malt whiskies exclusive to Travel Retail, inspired by the legendary lands that have been home to the Glenmorangie Distillery since 1843.
Bill Lumsden and his team have created the Tùsail, a single malt Scotch whisky made using Maris Otter barley (which has been floor malted by hand), matured in a small amount of specially selected casks. A very, very cool release from the Glenmorangie Private Collection.
Nestled in a quiet clearing, surrounded by fragrant gorse and towering pines, the Tarlogie Spring has served as the sole water source for our distillery since 1843. Its unique, mineral-rich waters allow us to create our unusually fragrant house style.
Glenmorangie Tarlogan displays all the sweet purity of the Tarlogie Spring while maintaining a classic Glenmorangie backbone. Aged in virgin oak as well as ex-bourbon casks, Glenmorangie Tarlogan evokes the botanical aromas of an early summer morning walk through the woods.
A Glenmorangie single malt whisky in the experimental Private Edition series, this Spios. Matured in American rye whiskey barrels. This produces aromas and flavours that you will hardly find in other whiskies. That alone is worth further consideration!
Characterised as rich, chocolatey and minty. Enjoy the bouquet of Quinta Ruban for the first time and be immediately transported to the Mediterranean landscape of a Portuguese Quinta were to escape the searing heat of the vineyard you take refuge in the dark, cool cellars of the great port wine houses of the Douro Valley.
Still resonating with the rich, velvety aroma of ruby port, Glenmorangie ships Portuguese barrels to serve as further maturation for The Original, imprinting the spirit with a lingering chocolatey mint aroma and ruby glow.
Handcrafted by the Sixteen Men of Tain, this Glenmorangie was initially matured in American oak casks, and then racked into selected port “pipes” for extra ageing in its last few years of maturation.
Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or Bottling Note
Glenmorangie Milsean (pronounced ‘meel-shawn’) is the seventh annual release in Glenmorangie’s Private Edition range. Milsean is Scots Gaelic for ‘sweet things’ and is named to reflect the intense candied fruit flavours and mouth-watering sweetness that has been produced by maturing the whisky in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in re-toasted wine casks.
The 2013 release in Glenmorangie’s annual Private Edition series of small-batch wood experiments, Ealanta differs from its predecessors as it has been full-term matured (rather than finished) in its designer casks, which in this instance are made from heavily toasted new white oak.
Released in early 2017, Bacalta is the first expression from the distillery which has been finished in sun-baked Malmsey Madeira casks. Dr. Bill Lumsden had bespoke American oak casks made and heavily toasted, then seasoned with Malmsey wine and left to bake in the heat of Madeira’s sun.
